Teamly offers multiple ways to manage your tasks, giving you the flexibility to work in a way that suits your style. Whether you prefer the Board View for a kanban-style workflow or the Task View for a detailed list of actionable items, we’ve got you covered.
In this article, we’ll focus on the Timeline View, a powerful feature designed to help you visualize your projects on a timeline, track progress, and ensure that deadlines are met with ease. If you’re juggling multiple projects or need to plan ahead, the Timeline View is your go-to tool for efficient and strategic project management.
In the left side panel, locate and click on the "Workflows" tab.
Click on the name of your workflow, as illustrated in the example below where it is named "General."
The current view is indicated in the drop-down menu located at the top right side of the screen. By default, the view displayed is "Board." To switch between views, click on "Board" and select "Timeline."
In the “Timeline” view, you can choose to display tasks organized by week, month, or year.
Use the left and right arrows to navigate through weeks, months, or years.
On the right side, use the "Filter" option to refine the tasks displayed in a workflow. You can filter by user, due date, status, priority, and labels.
Use the “Settings” filter to sort tasks by creation date, due date, or column movement.
At the top of the Timeline view, you’ll find an “Unassigned” user. Any tasks that haven’t been assigned to project users will automatically be grouped under this default user. This feature allows you to easily identify and distribute unassigned tasks directly within the Timeline view.
Below the “Unassigned” user, you’ll see all other project users along with their assigned tasks.
Tasks without a due date will appear on the timeline ending on the current date.
Tasks with a due date will appear on the timeline up until their due date.
