In a collaborative workspace like Teamly, managing communication across departments can quickly become overwhelming. With various teams working simultaneously on different projects, it’s easy for important notifications to get buried under non-essential chatter. To help streamline communication and reduce distractions, Teamly offers a "Mute Departments" feature. This tool allows users to silence notifications from specific departments, enabling them to focus on the most relevant conversations without missing critical updates from their core team.

Navigate to the department and click on its name at the top.

Click on the ellipsis menu at the top right side and select "Mute."

A confirmation message will appear, indicating that the department has been successfully muted.

The mute icon will appear next to the department in the left sidebar.

Alternatively, users can right-click on the department in the left sidebar and select "Mute."
