Start a Group Chat

Sometimes you may need to start a direct message (DM) with a group of people. It’s easy to add these new users and bring them into the discussion.  

Click on "Direct messages" in the left side panel.

Then click on "New Chat."

Select the users you wish to start the group chat with.

Click on "Start chat."

After initiating the group chat, you'll find the users listed at the top. Additionally, the group chat will appear in the bottom left side panel for easy access.

Click on the "Group chat" dropdown menu to reveal the chat participants, hide the chat and create a private department (coming soon).

Alternatively, you can initiate a new group chat by clicking the "+" icon next to "Team Chat" and selecting "New Chat."
