Archive Departments

The activities of some departments are seasonal or temporary. When a department is no longer relevant to the current activity of the organization, archiving it is the perfect way to get it out of the way, yet have it easily accessible for when it’s needed again.   


Right click on the department's name in the left side panel and "Edit."



Click on "Archive department."



A popup will be shown to confirm the action.



Alternatively, click on the department's name at the top



Click on "Edit details."



Click on "Archive department."



Owners, admins and managers can navigate to the workspace settings.



Click on "Departments and messages."



Click on "Archive department."



A popup modal will be shown to confirm the action.
