Direct Chat or Message

Users can navigate to a department and at the top right-hand side will see a list of users that are associated with that department.

Click on the user to open their profile details then select Chat.

Alternatively, at the bottom left-hand side of the dashboard when working in a project click on the + icon next to Team Chat then New Chat.

From there you will have the option of search for the user you'd like to chat with directly. You can type in the user's name/email or scroll down to locate the user. Once the user is selected click enter.

After selecting the user you'd like to DM they will show below the Team Chat tab. The green dot below their image will indicate that they're online.

Unread messages will show under the All unread tab with a count as well as with the direct messages under the Team Chat view.

When you begin a DM with a user you will see the user's status as well a getting started message.

At the top right-hand side of the direct chat you will see the Add Sticky option to attach/pin files in the message.

At the top left-hand side you can see the user's local time (if configured under their profile).

At the bottom you will see your chat options including adding emojis, formatting, files and viewing a list of tasks that are assigned to the user.

When you click on the tasks tab you will see a list of tasks assigned to that user or a list of all tasks.

To close a direct message or DM click on the X icon next to the user's name.
