Transferring Ownership of a Workspace

Transferring a workspace is an important step when changing ownership or reorganizing teams. Teamly makes this process simple, ensuring all data, settings, and configurations are smoothly transitioned to the new owner.


The current account owner can click the ellipsis menu next to the workspace name and select "Workspace settings."



In the top right corner, click "Transfer Workspace."



The "Transfer Workspace Ownership" modal will appear, allowing you to select the user to whom you want to transfer the workspace.



Once you've selected the user, click "Transfer Ownership." This action is final and cannot be undone. If ownership needs to be reversed, the new owner must follow the same steps outlined in this guide. After the transfer, the previous owner will be downgraded to an "admin," and both the new and former owners will receive email notifications—one confirming the transfer and the other notifying the previous owner that they no longer hold ownership of the workspace.
