Personal vs Business

Hi there,

Enjoying getting familiar with Teamly. Could be what I've been looking for. A couple of first-round thoughts...

  1. Ability to tag a task/priority as "personal" or "business" and then to be able to sort and exclude from other members' view.
  2. "Move" instead of "copy" is a good idea.
  3. The limit of 5 items for a week is a challenge. It would seem that there's an equation that dictates that if you're allowed 5 priorities per day, you'd need to have room for 25 items per week for distribution to the days. The same might apply to Monthly priorities and beyond... I'm sure you've thought this through, but I find myself needing more room on a weekly basis.
  4. The periodic "overall goals" or "major initiatives" list is a good idea to have on hand as it is a factor in all decisions potentially.

Thanks for your time and efforts to help me get my act together.

Eric

One other thing... what about repeating tasks that need to be put in the mix each week, month, etc.? Could there be a "repeat every..." function?

    Hi Eric

    Thanks for the feedback!

Firstly, we do plan to offer both the ability to tag and set up repeating priorities. Hopefully we will launch these improvements in the next few months.

Your point about not having enough for the week... at every stage in Teamly the idea is you ask yourself the question, "if I can only get 5 things done today, what would they be?" (or this week, or this month, or this quarter).

So the idea is you start with 5 large, major goals for the quarter, and work back from there. Some items may repeat, but the idea is that on a daily basis you end up with smaller achievable activities.

We've not totally cracked it yet... but we've got some ideas on how to offer a bit more flexibility without it just turning into one of those other tools that overwhelms you!

Thank again for your thoughts and do keep in touch.

    Regards
    Scott
