Why not move instead of copy?...and alerts for uncompleted priorities

Hi Scott and team

Great work on Teamly....I love it! Finally a tool that allows/forces me to think about what i REALLY need to do.

A few suggestions: firstly, some sort of alerts notifying you of uncompleted priorities from the previous period would be really handy! I sometimes get to the next period and miss a priority that needs to be carried over to the next period because it wasn't completed. It doesn't have to be an email or anything, just something on the screen when you log in to let you know would be great.

Second, I don't quite understand the purpose for copying a priority to another period. To me it makes much more sense to create one priority and then be able to move it between periods. It should be tagged as "started" (or whatever status it is in the current period) as it carries over to the next period as opposed to it being copied as "new" in the new period. This would make the flow a lot more intuitive. The practice of copying, in my mind, is counter-intuitive and tends to clutter up the screen with multiple copies of the same thing so it tends to get a bit confusing.

Lastly, I think the comments associated with a priority should get copied (or moved) across with the priority to the next period. At the moment if you have comments in a priority, they are lost when the priority is copied to another period which does not make sense to me. I use the comments to expand or keep status notes on the priority and it does not help when they are lost when the priority is copied.

Well done once again guys!
David

    Hi David

Thanks for trying Teamly and for your comments! I really appreciate your detailed suggestions and I'm pleased to say that we do plan to address the problem as you described it, so that there is only one copy of a priority, and notes, status, etc are retained.

Right now you can see a list of your uncompleted priorities by clicking the link in the right hand column: "view uncompleted priorities"

    Regards
    Scott
